We all know Gary Coleman. How could you not love a 4′ 8″ guy that appeared in one of the 80s most iconic shows, Diff’rent Strokes? Back in the day, he was a veritable one-liner machine, churning out gimmicky quips in the blink of an eye. Lately though, it seems that Gary has fallen on hard times and is forced to part with his Gamecube. Hard times for Mr. Coleman means an Ebay auction for us and an autographed Cube for the winning bid, which is currently just over $500.
Just looking at that pitiful mug makes me want to bid a few bucks just to help the guy out. I mean you know he is in trouble when the very table he is signing away his Gamecube on is littered with a bottle of pills, an empty beer bottle, what could either be another beer or cough syrup, and a US passport. Something is awry with that picture but in the end, I think it will end up boosting pity bids and maybe getting Gary another couple of days worth of meds or whatever it is he chooses to imbibe. By the look of his hands and arms, I would guess that he likes to walk the thin white line if you get my drift. Speaking of thin white lines, whoever wrote the description for that auction was on a little sumthin’ sumthin’ too. Of course, maybe I am just inferring all of this from the picture because I am a strung out addict myself, who knows.
Anywho, if you feel like helping a brother out or just want to see how much Gary Coleman’s Gamecube actually sells for, the auction can be found here.
Maybe he’s planning on buying a Wii.. either way, Gary Coleman’s a cool guy.
I can’t come to the site while that pic is up. It is so sad. Is he selling it for money? Is he really that bad off? Or did this guy somehow just obtain it? I mean if I got $500 for one of my consoles I’d do it in a heartbeat (lord knows that right now I could use that money), but when you’re a celebrity (if he actually fits that qualification still) with a likely drug habit this seems like chump change.
Dammit this whole blog makes me depressed.
The sad thing is that Gary could be a great cameo actor. If only he had the right friends, He would be perfect in Adam Sandler/Ben Stiller/Will Ferrell movies.Oh and the ‘Cube was sold for $510; Ka – Ching.
